      Retained Searches - Dedicated SR. Experts (Full-service & Pay for Success) 

      Many AstroHire clients want to engage, often exclusively, with one or more recruiters on a trusted partner basis.  Some say it’s a “Set it and Forget it” model - allowing client’s to focus on their other critical business like driving sales. Your retained recruiter is more senior, highly dedicated, and available as an outside extension of your team. They formulate a search strategy and manage the interview process to find well-matched candidates that fit and stay.  The client pays an upfront retainer (ex: 10% to 33% of the expected final fee) to kick off the search, with the remaining fees due at key success milestones such as achieving timing goals, finalist candidates, job offers, hiring, and onboarding. 

      Partially Contingent (aka ‘Container Searches’) - Mutual ‘Skin in the Game’

      A Container Search is a hybrid agreement that a lot of companies prefer because both parties have “skin in the game” from the start. Clients pay an upfront engagement fee (ex: $5,000 and up to 1/3 of the expected fee), while the lion’s share of the payment is due at the end.  The recruiter collects the balance upon the final candidate’s job offer acceptance.

      Here, recruiters are motivated to work with your HR & People teams to ensure efficiency and mutual success.  With container searches, both parties are motivated to truly collaborate, represent the client’s brand, deliver great candidate experiences, and ultimately achieve hiring success and mutual client-vendor ROI. 

      Fully Contingent Recruitments

      For clarity, contingent recruiters are unpaid until the matched candidate is hired and starts work. Imagine going unpaid for 30 days to several months! In transparency, AstroHire considers contingent searches only when the client is referred via an AstroHire partner or a Nationally Recognized Supplier or Procurement association (ex: NMSDC.org) that prescreened the client’s business for sound business practices and leadership (think Glassdoor), a history of successful vendor relationships, and solid financial standing.

      Pricing Options - Salary-based Percentages and Fixed

      Our pricing incentivizes client-vendor collaboration, transparency, high-impact results, and mutual ROI for AstroHire and our clients. Most agreements are priced by applying a pre-agreed percentage (ex: 20 to 35%) of the new hire’s first-year base salary (usually excluding bonus). We will also consider fixed pricing (not tied to percentages) for clients who prefer more predictability and have open positions with standard market salaries.
